A Big Thanks

Just wanted to send out a big thanks to all those high school young people that showed up staurday to help Tim and Laura McManus do some needed maintenance at the camp. Also to Scott Stevens, Bill Hansen and Fred Wernlund. Volunteer help is so encouraging and helpful. Rod also sends his heartfelt thanks. The 2011 Blue Mountain Association work day will be June 4th, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Lunch will be served. Any questions, feel free to contact me or Rod.

B.M.C.B.A. Men’s Camp

Praise the Lord, there will be a men’s camp this year on April 30, 2011.

We are scheduling a one day event with the option for men to come up and spend the night Friday evening if they wish to do so. There will be more info coming to the Blue Mtn. Churches in the way of brochures. Get your swords (Bibles) and your rifles ready for a good time of worship and target competition. Ron Schafer will be our guest speaker. See you there.

Another Year

The last camp of the 2010 year, the B.M.C.B.A. winter youth camp has come and gone and we thank God once again for a great year. I would like to hear from the high school young people who attended, as to how they felt the camp went. A big thankyou to all those who have helped in all of the various ways to make this camping year a big success. It is just about time to say good bye to Bill and Linda Hansen after eight years of service. Camp Elkanah Caretaker

Bill Hansen has recently turned in an official letter of resignation and will be leaving his position at the end of the year. We are now asking God to provide us with a person to fill this ministry position. The new caretaker will be required to live on the campus in a two bedroom cabin that along with the utilities (excluding t.v. and telephone) will become part of the salary package. Excluding the caretaker house and utilities the starting salary package will be between $25,000.00 and $30,000.00, based on experience and skill level. The estimated value of the caretaker home and utilities is approximately $7,200.00 annually, plus the savings of not paying income tax on that amount. Because we are a private non-profit organization and a part of the Blue Mountain Conservative Baptist Association of Churches we can also entertain the idea of subsidizing your income by letting you raise some support, as a missionary would do.
