Summer...

The last 3 months are a blur, sometimes camp moves at a speed that is hard to keep up with. When you get a moment to look back you see all the points at which God moved mountains. He provided Outdoor School volunteers and staff. He supplied the staff needed to get all the campers off the summer camp waitlist. He gave our small nontraditional summer staff the energy and desire to persevere for an amazing summer of growth and relationship building. He continues to sustain our staff as we host rental groups and plan for an amazing upgrade to the restrooms at camp.

This summer we experienced God changing lives and softening the hearts of campers and staff. We have the privilege to see campers step out of their comfort zone and experience God like they never have before. Campers taking the next step in their relationship with God, and He becomes more real to them. Campers experiencing God for the first time and committing their lives to follow Him. Staffers are drawn into a lifestyle of worship and service, through sleepless nights and hours of hard work. The blessings are countless, and we thank God for the amazing way He uses Camp to change lives.

The next 3 months hold amazing opportunities. We have been blessed with a grant to build two new restrooms with showers. Currently, we have what we hope is full funding for the restroom project, with the uncertain building materials availability and pricing we may need your help to fill the funding gap. We continue to look toward God to show us the way as we start all this work. Through additional grant funding, we have been able to replace the worn-out zip line cable and will soon see upgrades to the pump house and other challenge course elements. We continue to seek after God and His vision for Camp Elkanah as we steward His camp through the next steps.

God’s provision for the Elkanah Track Crew has brought us to almost 40% of our monthly funding, from our church partners and the individuals and families of the Track Crew. This support has given us the ability to invest in the infrastructure of Camp through this year of uncertainty. We are constantly blessed by the Track Crew. If you are part of the Track Crew thank you for committing to join us as we serve God. If you are interested in joining the Elkanah Track Crew, check it out here.

It is amazing to see these changes take place. God has given us a vision for Elkanah, and we love to talk about where He is taking His camp. Please continue in prayer for guidance and wisdom as we move forward with these major projects and the daily grind of camp life. You can follow our story through our webpage and social media.

To God be the Glory!!
