Camp Leadership
All staff go through basic training to insure that we are able to provide a quality camping experience for each camper. Background checks and references will be used to help us to select God’s best.
F.A.Q.
Q: What is the time commitment?
A: Team members will commit to 4 weeks of ministry. A typical week will start on Sunday afternoon and conclude on Friday afternoon. All Saturdays are given as time off. Can I have time off during a camping session? A team member may ask for time off, but it must be asked at the time of applying for a given position and it must be approved by the Camp Director or Camp Manager. Time off during camp sessions is granted in rare circumstances because it impacts the team structure.
Q: What is the pay scale?
A: Camp Elkanah is primarily a volunteer ministry. As such most of the positions do not pay dollars but there are guaranteed eternal rewards, a lifetime of memories and free room and board. Some of the College age and older staff positions do receive a small salary based on the position.
